Armyn Naderi is a Toronto based artist who was born on Dec. 17, 1985 in Mashhad, Iran. He was introduced to art through his father who was a director and producer at IRIB; and he helped his father in several projects. After a while he decided to pursue his career as a director separately and he managed to obtain a bachelor of Cinema Directing from Media and Broadcasting University in Tehran. He has directed several short and feature documentary; his works has been nominated for several awards so far both nationally and internationally including: Semi-Finalist at Los Angeles Cine Fest (2017) for his 360 degree VR short film (Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder); Best visual research at 3rd Annual Iranian Cinematic Research (2019) for his feature documentary (Iran's Cinema in Pursuit of Happiness). His feature documentary entitled "Broken Grail" has been officially selected in several international festivals and has been screened in England and USA. He last short film "A Borrowed Life" has been officially selected and won several awards so far.
He has been also part of the jury of several film festivals such as Los Angeles Cine Fest 2018, Hollywood Screening Awards 2021 and 2022 and Bengaluru International Short Film Festival 2022.
