Anita Lawson
Anita Lawson wrote the book, Girl...! Serenity, Courage and Wisdom for the Dissed, Pissed Woman. It was published in 1995 and reprinted in 1996. She quickly became noticed by television and participated in several episodes of The Tempestt Bledsoe Show in 1995 and 1996 as a relationship expert. This was then followed by multiple appearances on the Ricki Lake Show (1996-1998). In 2000, Anita wrote her second book entitled, The Mating Game. Her books are published by Afterwords Ink.
Fun Fact: Anita's mother was invited by the executive producers to play herself in an episode of the show Bold and the Beautiful and meet with Executive Producer, Brad Bell. Anita accompanied her mother (Alice Lawson) to the set of the television soap opera. Being that both Anita and her mother (Alice) were life-long, die-hard fans of both soap operas created by the production team (Young and the Restless, and Bold and the Beautiful), Anita decided she was going to pitch the executive producer a concept for a new character for the series. She introduced the character concept in general conversation for fun and six months later the new character was born and added to the cast of the Young and the Restless; they named the character "Anita Lawson."
