Tim Houston(VI)

First elected as an MLA for the constituency of Pictou East in 2013, Tim Houston won the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia in October 2018 and was elected Premier of Nova Scotia in 2021. As an MLA, Houston took umbrage with cuts to the Nova Scotian film industry made by the provincial Liberal government, and as Premier he made good on his criticisms to help revitalize film tax credits and funding avenues.
