Tan Sahinkanat was born in Istanbul, Turkey. His mother, Sara Sahinkanat, is a well known children's book author. Tan has spent a part of his teenage years perfecting his passion of cooking, later interning at a high-end restaurant as an assistant chef. However, after spending some time interning at a post production facility, he believed that the media industry was a more rewarding and enjoyable career path for him. As of 2018, he has been working as an independent voice actor as of mostly doing dubbing work for streaming platforms, while pursuing a growing passion for on-screen acting.
