The new trailer for Elvis from Outer Space promises to fix all that while delivering B-movie cult fun for the summer. Giant Pictures and Joba Entertainment set up the camp for a digital rollout next month.

With the new horror film now out on DVD and Digital from Rlj Entertainment, we caught up with Jessica Sonneborn in our latest Q&A feature to discuss her experiences writing, directing, and co-starring in the The Haunting of Alice D, working with Kane Hodder, and much more.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Jessica. How did you come up with the idea for your new film, The Haunting of Alice D?

Jessica Sonneborn: I wanted to create a “cabin in the woods” style horror movie with a major twist that made it unique from other films like it. I was trying to think of something that could be done on a shoestring budget, but that also had some depth to it.

Vivid which just resumed filming is the first feature to be directed by indie horror veteran Brandon Slagle. The film stars in addition to Slagle; Rachel Grubb, Devanny Pinn, Keith Kraft, Deneen Melody, Bill Oberst Jr, Barry Ratcliffe, Katrina Cheri, Tara Cardinal and Elisabeth Fies.

While Vivid is still filming, director Brandon Slagle released these stills from the raw screen captures. They feature little or no color correction.

Vivid is about a group of individuals selected due to various neurosis who are unwillingly brought into an experiment by a murderous sociopath who believes he has committed all atrocity he can on this plane of existence. The next step is to mentally step into the body of other people and live out their lives and fantasies - literally experiencing what it is like to be another person - both in life and at the brink and ultimately the finality of death.

Filming will start in Los Angeles this month on Dog Fight, a horror film which also includes action, crime and torture elements.

According to the official description, the plot "revolves around an underground fighting ring whose competitors are made up of women who have been kidnapped and 'broken' - essentially being turned into rabid dogs psychologically."

But, despite that potentially controversial storyline, you may be surprised to learn it's been scripted by two women and has two female producers.

Written by Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska (pictured top), the twin team behind Dead Hooker in a Trunk, it is being directed by Sean-Michael Argo, whose feature Fable: Teeth of Beasts screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film is produced by Tara Cardinal (pictured above right), who recently finished shooting action/fantasy flick Legend of the Red Reaper, and Devanny Pinn who, aside from appearances in Piranha 3D and the upcoming sci-fi thriller 15 Till Midnight,...

Here's the first look at Dog Fight, yet another underground indie film that is sure to get some buzz considering the story invloved. Kidnapped girls, mental and physical abuse, gambling, underground circuits, hey these things happen. This film is once again going to involve young talent who I consider and have called 'The Nex Gen of Horror". The DeeDee Bigelow and Antonio Olivas project, The Perfect Serial Killer is now in the pre-production phase with a huge cast list announced. Currently, The Perfect Serial Killer is undergoing script revisions. As well, the project will feature Courtney Gains (Shadowheart), Brooke Lewis (Kinky Killers), and Katie Lohmann.
