Patrick Moltane
- Actor
Patrick is an American actor native to California who now makes his home in Kansas.
Brought up on the east side of Detroit and educated in Grosse Pointe, Patrick has the unique perspective of someone who was introduced to the story from many perspectives early on and throughout. A storyteller by nature who delights in sharing and commenting on the human condition and experience with a soft spot for the underdog.
Over the last quarter century, Patrick has studied, directed and taught Theatre on numerous college/university campuses and performed principal roles at substantive cultural institutions. He is experienced and comfortable with heightened language, stage/screen dialects, stage combat, Greek theatre, Shakespeare's plays, Irish plays, contemporary scripts, and revels in playing the antagonist.
His recent Independent Feature Film debut, as Lieutenant Turner in Blue Fox Entertainment's forthcoming BUNKER, in post production, written by Michael Huntsman and directed by Adrian Langley has given him new artistic life before the camera. A long-time member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-Eligible, Patrick is poised to parlay his good fortune, being #2 on the cast list for BUNKER and playing a meaty role with an accent, into other creative endeavors.
Patrick supplemented his formal actor training, MFA in Theatre/Acting from the Hilberry Classical Repertory Company at Wayne State University in Detroit and BFA Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan, with three (3) study abroad programs: 1.) the John Millington Synge Summer School in Rathdrum, Ireland 2.) the Classical Theatre Program in Greece led by Dr. Arthur J. Beer of the University of Detroit Mercy and 3.) a Month-Long Intensive at the Moscow Art Theatre. These programs each in their own particular way added depth, breadth and context to his admiration and exploration of the craft of acting.
