Luis Chao(I)

Luis Chao was born in Mexico May 4, 1963. From an early age he showed an
interest in art by excelling himself in painting and music (piano and
organ player). He started working for Yamaha of Mexico touring the
country doing concerts to promote this company's instruments. As he was
doing this he will do a little Stand-Up routine in between songs. At
this very moment he realize that the instrument was becoming a little
of un obstacle for him to perform, so he left the instrument behind,
hire a music band with 4 musicians and 3 chorus ladies and start doing
his own show.
Whit his Stand-Up comedy he begins to travel all over Mexico in the late 70's early 80's. Doing presentations in Palenques, International Hotel's nightclubs, and privately own nightclubs. He also did tours outside Mexico to countries like Nicaragua, Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, and Argentina.
In 1988 he moves to New York City, NY and continues his presentations in this city. It was here when doing a show in a place called "Mi casa es su casa," where doing a show with de Brazilian singer Nelson Ed, that he tell the comedian that he should move to Miami, where he will have a better chance to succeed in US. So he moved to Miami, FL in 1992 and did a few presentations of his show, it was here in Miami where Luca Bentivoglio saw his presentation in a nightclub named "The English Pub" and contact him later to invite him to be a part of his TV show "Salvese Quien Pueda" where he staid for 5 years, this TV show was presented by TeleMundo Network. He moves to Univision Network in 1997 to be a part of "Lente Loco" and from there he did many other presentations in so many others shows "Los Metiches" "Estamos Unidos" "Giorgiomania" "Despierta Ámerica" "Sábado Gigante.
