A fun, optimistic, loving life, Ryan Buchanan is right out of
Centerville, Utah. He grew up there, the oldest son of three other
siblings. His father, M. Ray Buchanan, is a Communications Director and
his mother, Rashelle Buchanan, works as a secretary at a local school.
He attended the College of Eastern Utah after graduating High School.
He first really showed his promise as a member of the comedy group
"Actors on the Spot." His performing talents garnered favorable notices
from a local filmmaker that won him extra roles in some independent
films, notably Jerk Theory (2009). He first gained notice when he
played Brigham Volunteer #2 in Ephraim's Rescue (2013). Having become
an semi professional extra after appearing in Only a Stoncutter (2007),
Treasure in Heaven: The John Tanner Story (2009), as well as a featured
Extra in Gordon B. Hinckley: A Giant Among Men (2008) things finally
seemed to change for him when he became the Brigham Volunteer #2. He is
private about his his personal life and does not make a point of
attending nightclubs and parties.
