Caleb Payne is an international award winning South African film and theater actor, and producer.
Caleb won a Young Artist Academy award as 'Leading Youth Artist in a Feature Film' for his role as JETMIR in the Netflix film, 'Good Life' in 2022, presented at the Directors Guild of America, in Hollywood.
His latest feature is in the indie Gravitas Ventures 'The Fix' (2024) by award winning screenwriter and director Kelsey Egan. 'The Fix' stars Grace van Dien and Daniel Sharman and premiered at the Chattanooga Film Festival in Tennessee, where it won the 'Dangerous Visions' Prize.
Caleb will next be seen in a South African feature film as the lead by award winning director Marthinus Basson with screenplay by award winning Nico Scheepers. He is also co-producing this feature.
Caleb's portfolio includes the Netflix phenomena 'The Kissing Booth' franchise. He has showcased on international television with 'Resident Evil' (2022) Netflix, 'Warrior' S1&2 (2018-2020) HBO, 'Lincoln' (2021) History Channel and the award winning South African production penned and directed by Nico Scheepers, 'Donkerbos' (2022/3) HBO/Showmax.
Caleb made his theater debut in 2020 playing 'Eric' in the international production of 'Matilda: The Musical', in Manila, The Philippines. His most recent theater performance was in the award winning 'The fiercely contested crown of Edward II & Gaveston' directed by the legendary overlord of South African theater, Marthinus Basson. This production also starred award winning actors, Edwin van der Walt and Rolanda Marais. This production was performed in Afrikaans, which is not Caleb's native language.
