- In the early 1960s, The Brothers Four appeared in a series of commercials for Coca-Cola with fellow Columbia Records recording artist/"Coca-Cola girl" Anita Bryant.
- Successful pop-folk group in The Kingston Trio mode, formed at the University of Washington [State] in 1958. Made of of four fraternity brothers, hence the name. The group's original members were Dick Foley, John Payne, Mike Kirkland and Bob Flick. As recording artists on the Columbia label, 1959-1969, their hits included "Greenfields", "The Green Leaves of Summer", "Frogg" and "Try to Remember". The current (2003) Brothers Four lineup, which includes original members Payne and Flick and former The Kingston Trio member Bob Haworth, continues to tour successfully, both in the U.S. and overseas, and make recordings on the Folk Era label.
