A Jacksonville, Florida native, James' desire for acting began as a teenager in high school. He took drama during his sophomore year in and fell completely in love with the acting. After graduating from high school, he served 4 years in the United States Marines. Upon receiving his honorable discharge from military, he decided to take acting classes in the New York City Area which ultimately led to him getting numerous auditions for television shows such as The Cosby Show in the early nineties.
James eventually relocated to Atlanta to continue his acting career. Presently, he has done over 13 Independent films, music videos and print modeling assignments. In 2020, James won Best Actor in a Drama for the Live Short Film (Mr. & Mrs. Ellis) at the New York Best Actors Awards. Subsequently, Mr. & Mrs. Ellis also received a Best Short Live Film Nomination at the 2020 NAACP Images Awards in which James also received his very first Producer Credits.
James is an avid sports fan. He also loves working out, writing, swimming and cooking.
