Ahmed Farid(II)

An Egyptian actor, visual artist and Academic , who received a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Art, at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, worked as a professor at Faculty of Fine Arts , and Media Management Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He served as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations. He began his career in the visual arts in 1991, as he represented Egypt in Switzerland in an international exhibition for children, and won the Merit Award.
Farid's acting career started in 2010 when he became a TV announcer at the Nile Cinema channel for programs which complemented his career in the visual arts. He hosted interviews with international celebrities including Keanu Reeves, Eva Mendez, John Malkovich, as well as some of the most prominent international directors including Francis Ford Coppola. In 2010, Farid's acting career soared when he accepted an acting role In series called "Ahl Cairo"; in 2013, he acted in the series "Ism Moaqat"; in 2015, "Oreedo Ragolan", and "Al Saalouk".
While starring in the Arabic version of "Ugly Betty", "Heba Regl El Ghorab" in 2016 and 2017, he was also holding a solo art exhibition at the Nile Gallery of Cairo under the concept of "Life is Hope, Light, and Freedom". the Universe", Alexander Rubtsov in Tunisia under the concept of "The Eye is the Gate of the Soul", The Workshop Art Gallery in Dubai under the concept of "The Universe Between Light and Freedom". And most recently, while acting in the Arabic version of the comedy series "Drop Dead Diva", "Tel'et Rohi", in 2018 Farid held two solo exhibitions: "The Soul mate" at Al Kahila Art Gallery in Egypt, and "Fruit de 50 Ans D'immigration" at Place Saint-Denis in Brussels, Belgium. In 2019, Farid starred in the TV multi-national series "Infiltration "Ekhteraq" as the lead actor. In 2020, whilst starring as Lead actor in the Netflix show "Valentino", Farid also opened his solo exhibition "Gate of the Soul" at Picasso Art Gallery in Cairo, Egypt. After a successful exhibition in Egypt, in January 2021, Farid flew to the United States of America to follow his dream and he launched his art gallery in Houston, Texas which was honored by the Consulate General of the Egyptian Embassy. Farid was invited to collaborate in a documentary film produced by Houston Museum of Natural History and Science. This honorable opportunity has uniquely positioned Farid as an Ambassador of the Contemporary Egyptian Artists. In this documentary, Farid shows art lovers in the USA a window to Egyptian Contemporary Art scene and reveals a beautiful facet of Egypt. Other highlights include interviews with US based collectors and art savvy individuals sharing their perceptions of Egyptian culture through the eyes of Farid's art work.
