Zero VU are a scoring team who fuse contemporary 'left-field' digital sensibilities with a passion for organic 'old school' analogue technology. The key members of the team are songwriter/vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mitch Taylor, award-winning composer/multi-instrumentalist Michael J McEvoy and world-class recording engineer and mixer Nick Taylor. Between them they have an extensive list of credits: As a mixer, Nick has worked on over 100 film scores and many albums across various genres. His recent credits as a recording engineer and mixer include Yeong-Wook Jo's BAFTA-nominated score for BBC One series 'The Little Drummer Girl', Kenneth Branagh's 'All is True' and 'Murder on the Orient Express' scored by Patrick Doyle, the Stanley Tucci directed 'Final Portrait' by Evan Lurie and Gary Yershon's Oscar-nominated score for Mike Leigh's 'Mr Turner' and recent feature 'Peterloo'.
As a composer, Michael has recently scored Entertainment One's feature 'Finding Your Feet' starring Timothy Spall and Imelda Staunton, BBC/PBS documentary 'Jazz Ambassadors', ITV's 'Dark Angel' and Richard Linklater's 'Me and Orson Welles'. He has also scored prestigious documentaries for A&E, Discovery, NatGeo, BBC, C4 and has a long list of credits as a session musician, songwriter, and producer with artists ranging from James Taylor Quartet, Soul II Soul, Steve Winwood, and many others.
Zero VU have most recently composed the original score and songs for Ben Bond directed feature film 'The Drifters'. Other recent work includes composing the trailer music for the international feature 'The Pass' produced by Duncan Kenworthy and scoring BBC documentary, 'Balls of Steel', produced by Folk Films. Their score for indie short 'Risk', directed by Luke Bradford, has been nominated for Best Music at the Idyllwild Festival in California.
