"Let's make Earth great again!" Vertical Entertainment has released a new official Us trailer and a poster for the long-awaited, delayed-for-years sci-fi sequel Iron Sky: The Coming Race, which has been in the works since 2014. This film was released in Europe earlier in the year, and we posted two trailers back then for its initial debut. It's now opening in the Us in July, for those who still want to catch up with it. The plot is just as absurd as the first Iron Sky - the Nazis are back after lying dormant in a secret base on the Moon, now they're attacking with an army of ancient shapeshifting reptilians riding dinosaurs. Madness. Starring Julia Dietze, Götz Otto, Christopher Kirby, Tilo Brückner, Peta Sergeant, Stephanie Paul, and Udo Kier. This is one of those films that you know is going to be terrible, but you also just have to see it for yourself.

Once again directed by Timo Vuorensola, Iron Sky: The Coming Race follows a group of space Nazis as they try and survive on the lunar base after a nuclear war has devastated earth, but with another distinct twist we’re now introduced to the Vril, who have been living inside the hollow earth since the dawn of time for chaos and absurdity to ensue.

Hitler is on a dinosaur in the first trailer for Iron Sky 2…
The first Iron Sky movie arrived in 2012, off the back of a six year development period. It was fuelled heavily by fandom, with the makers of the film working closely with its potential audience through the making of the movie. Eventually, it reached the finish line, although its UK release spluttered, off the back of the decision to give it just one day in British cinemas. It took a fan backlash to do something about that.
Still, it’s a movie firmly classed as a cult one, with reviews not on the happy side generally. But still, it did enough business to warrant a sequel. Which is what brings us all together today.
Iron Sky: The Coming Race has been in the works officially since 2013, and this time, the movie has been crowdfunded too. Its...

Iron Sky: The Coming Race has been in development for years! The first two trailers were released back in 2014, but now we have another awesomely ridiculous trailer for you to watch and enjoy. This epic sci-fi adventure features a reptilian Hitler riding a freakin' T-Rex! In the story, he leads a shapeshifting reptilian race and their army of dinosaurs. There's also some fun-looking space battle sequences. The movie looks so over-the-top and it may end up being a bad movie, but it still looks like it's going to be a wild and strange ride! Here's the synopsis, which is completely bonkers:
Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity – or destroy it once and for all.

More than 7,000 fans from 75 countries took part in the campaign.

The main source of funds in the campaign came from the offer of extra roles, which raised nearly $150,000 of the total amount from more than 300 fans. Parts ranged from citizens of a Moonbase to being eaten by a dinosaur, costing from $200 to $5,000.

Last week, CBS premiered the new political drama Madam Secretary, which stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth Faulkner McCord, the U.S. Secretary of State. It's hardly a far-fetched concept, as we've seen three female secretaries of state since 1997: Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton. But it's nonetheless rare to see a fictional universe with a woman in one of the nation's top three positions of political power. (Yep, even in fake realities, politics is a man's game.) And historically speaking, Hollywood has played it as a joke more often than not. So which fictional female presidents, vice presidents...

The sequel to 2012 cult sci-fi Iron Sky has achieved its initial target of $150,000 for script and promo development on crowd-funding site IndieGoGo.

Iron Sky director Timo Vuorensola and the same writing team also return for the sequel, which production is hoping will be budgeted in the $15m dollar range.

Every once in a while, a film is released with such a ludicrous premise that you simply have to take note and Iron Sky is such a film. It is set at the end of WWII and follows various high-ranking Nazi officials setting up a well-equipped (and very smartly polished and decked-out) base on the moon. Jump forward to 2018 where the President of the United States (Stephanie Paul), a Sarah Palin lookalike, is up for re-election and to help her campaign, has Nasa send leaves astronaut/ male model James Washington (the charismatic and amusing Christopher Kirby) Nasa to the moon for their first landing in decades (her campaign poster reads: ‘Black to Space: Yes She Can’.). This leaves Washington at the mercy of the followers of the so called ‘Fourth Reich’. The Nazi brass, including Moon Fuehrer Wolfgang Kortzfleiche (cult legend Udo Kier), and his protoge-turned-rival Klaus Adler (Gatz Otto...

Iron Sky is finally here! Director Timo Vuorensola’s Finnish-German-Australian science fiction comedy, six years in the making, represents a collaborative approach from conception to marketing. Iron Sky milked the Internet for all it’s worth, building up a community of artists and fans who got involved one way or another including the kicking in of much of the film’s funding (these deep-pocket collaborators are listed in the credits). In a happy ending for dreamers everywhere, the result is a genuine success story for what is, after all, a small movie with a tighter-than-tight budget. But while the budget was necessarily low, the filmmaker’s ambition is unmistakably high and Iron Sky looks like a film that cost many many times its actual budget. If you enjoy your sci-fi with some satire and count Brazil, Dr. Strangelove, and Mars Attacks among your faves, do not...

We've seen about four trailers for the sci-fi moon Nazi invasion film Iron Sky. This movie sounded really cool at first, I loved the initial concept, and liked the first couple of teaser trailers. I'm not sure if the comedy aspect they've thrown into it will work. I hoped the film would have more of a serious tone, like what we saw in the first couple of teaser trailers. There are movie situations like this where serious is funnier than comedy. I hope the movie turns out to be good though! I'm rooting for it.

Iron Sky hits UK cinemas today and today only! To mark it’s release and so you can see what sort of thing to expect from the movie, Revolver have sent us this exclusive clip from the movie which may surprise you when you see it. I think I expected something rather more serious that what we have below but it looks like a sci-fi Naked Gun movie which, to be honest, can’t be bad can it?! Following it’s day in cinemas, it’ll hit DVD, Blu-ray and download sites 28th May and you can pre-order your copy here.
Iron Sky is directed by Timo Vuorensolaand stars Julia Dietze, Christopher Kirby, Götz Otto, Tilo Prückner, Peta Sergeant and Stephanie Paul.
You can see the trailer for the movie which came out over a year ago here.

Iron Sky

Stars: Christopher Kirby, Stephanie Paul, Julia Dietze, Götz Otto, Peta Sergeant, Udo Kier | Written by Michael Kalesniko | Directed by Timo Vuorensola
Moon Nazis are coming. Yes, that’s right; Nazis from the moon will be invading select UK cinemas from Wednesday 23rd May. That is the premise, at least, of Iron Sky, a partially fan-funded space-war b-movie that is every bit as absurd as it sounds. When the initial directorial choice, Terrence Malick, dropped out of the project over “creative differences” Finnish black metal singer Timo Vuorensola stepped in to take the reins. The outcome is a film as daft and factually questionable as the previous sentence, but enjoyable enough in its own silly way.
Though last summer Michael Bay theorised that the dark side of the moon concealed a gigantic transforming robot, Iron Sky reveals the far more obvious, logical truth: with their plans...

Iron Sky offers up an intriguing Nazis on the Moon concept, but can it live up to its batty premise? James finds out...
For the last few years there’s been something of a buzz building around the Finnish/German/Australian co-production, Iron Sky. Famously pitched to investors at Cannes in 2008 off the back of an impressive VFX demo reel, director Timo Vuorensola’s sci-fi comedy about Nazis on the Moon finally went into production in late 2010.
With the addition of cult movie icon Udo Kier to the cast and several strong early trailers, anticipation was high that the finished film just might deliver on its gloriously bonkers premise. Unfortunately, that doesn’t really happen and - despite its strong high concept - Iron Sky never seems entirely sure of what type of film it’s trying to be.

Iron Sky had it’s world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival a month ago and last weekend it had its Us premiere at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

The first four-and-a-half minutes of Iron Sky (April 4) have come online and can be watched using the player below the synopsis! In the last moments of World War II, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon. During 70 years of utter secrecy, the Nazis construct a gigantic space fortress with a massive armada of flying saucers. When American astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby) puts down his Lunar Lander a bit too close to the secret Nazi base, the Moon Führer (Udo Kier) decides the glorious moment of retaking the Earth has arrived sooner than expected. Washington claims the mission is just a publicity stunt for the President of the United States (Stephanie Paul), but what else could the man be but a scout for the...

Thoughts by Tsr: It’s happening! We’re finally getting that movie about moon Nazis we’ve always wanted! It features Udo Kier as the Moon Führer, a parody of Sarah Palin as the President of the United States, and Nazis that operate out of a swastika shaped base on the dark side of the moon. This is just like it was in my dreams!
I may be slightly overselling my excitement, but I really do think this looks fun. It’s hard to guess how well it will play as a feature-length film, but it works as a two-minute trailer designed to make me want to see it. It isn’t just the crazy premise that hooked me; moon Nazis by themselves aren’t enough. It would...

From the moment it was first announced Iron Sky, an ambitious $10 million budgeted Finnish film part-funded by internet donations, turned heads with it’s sublimely tacky concept: Nazis in space. In director Timo Vuorensola’s alternate history, the Nazis were not totally defeated in 1945. Instead they fled into space, building a secret base on the dark side of the moon, from which they plot their eventual return to Earth with a spaceship armada as part of operation Meteor Blitzkrieg. It’s a CGI-heavy, sci-fi Earth invasion flick complete with a swastika wearing army of stormtroopers lead by an evil, leather-clad “Moonfuhrer” and stars Udo Keir!
Based on this premise I thought the film would be, at best, a one look laugh (“haha! It’s a Nazi… in space!”) which might struggle to sustain itself over an hour and half long feature. I suspected it’d be...

A moon base run by a secret, secluded group of Nazis spawned from those who fled to the dark side of that foreboding rock years ago? A war-happy president looking to keep her election prospects safe while kicking the butt of the Third Reich remnants? Zeppelins? Udo Kier? It can truly only be one film: Iron Sky. The final trailer is here and can be watched below.Yes, the Ott Finnish comedy is finally, um, finished and, after finding funding and making its way through a lengthy post-production process, the madness is ready to invade cinemas. The crazed plot posits that the Nazis had a space base hidden on the moon that managed to survive the end of World War II. Iron Sky, the Finnish-German-Australian sci-fi black comedy about Nazis from the Dark Side of the Moon, has released its promo trailer online. The trailer is still work-in-progress and it was released on the film project’s Iron Sky Sneak Peek web service to give the fans a glimpse of what the live action in the film will look like, and to get comments and suggestions for finishing up the promo trailer.

says Timo Vuorensola, the director of Iron Sky.
