Ryon Thomas is an actor, writer, and musician known for his roles in BET's The Missing (2022), the streaming series Surviving the Cartel (2022), and They Don't Cast Shadows (2022). He also played Paul Tibbets in the National Geographic documentary Heroes of the Sky: The Mighty Eighth Air Force (2020). Ryon moved to Los Angeles in 2002, where he began a 20 year career as a web/graphic creative and marketing professional. In 2019, he attended a free acting class he came across online and never looked back.
Ryon was born Ryan Thomas Hilterbran on January 20, 1978 in Enid, OK. He is a graduate of The Ruskin School of Acting in Santa Monica, CA having studied the Advanced Meisner Technique with John Ruskin, Michael Myers, and Michael Laurie. He has also worked with Annie Grindlay and Carla Rosatti at the Annie Grindlay Studio in Hollywood, CA. A singer, musician, and songwriter of 25+ years, he has released 5 albums and performs as a solo artist (Ryon Thomas) and with his band Rival The Giant at dozens of popular Los Angeles music venues -- including House of Blues, The Viper Room, El Cid, and The Roxy.
Ryon graduated with honors from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a BA of Arts in 2001 and is now living the West LA dream with his wife Megan and his two daughters, Evely and Brya.
