From 1999, as a member of the Vacanta Mare group, he appeared in weekly shows on Pro TV, and from the beginning of 2007, the Vacanta Mare group moved from Pro TV to Kanal D, where he appeared until April 2009.
He then presented the "Fabrica de Parodii Vamuz" show on Etno TV, and is currently employed by Antena 1.
On the night of March 9 to 10, 2001, a police patrol from Nanesti, Vrancea, caught Radu Pietreanu while he was transporting three bags of meat and deer skins in a Nissan car. He was accused that, together with businessman Leonard Neculai, from Focsani, he shot a stag and a deer in a forest near Nanesti commune. Two hunting rifles were also discovered in the car.
He was sentenced to two years in prison, with the execution of the sentence suspended, under supervision.
At Antena 1, since the end of February 2014, Radu Pietreanu presents, together with Mugur Mihaescu, a show in 12 editions, entitled "Great Holiday - Battle of Generations".
