He worked in the satirical weekly "human resistance" publication Cuore and, together with the illustrator Roberto Grassilli, found and managed the Clarence web portal, which was sold to Spray and passed on to Lycos and Dada. He collaborates with several magazines and directs Macchianera, a multi-author blog. He was a screenwriter for Magnolia's series Camera Café. He has directed a creative laboratory for the same company for creating new formats. In May 2005, he appeared in the news for being the blogger who, with the simple copy and paste of a PDF, revealed the omissions in the official document issued by the United States following the investigation of the murder of the Italian agent Nicola Calipari. Rizzoli published his novel "The Great Phone Directory of the Earth and Neighboring Planets (Jupiter not included)." He has developed and presented several programs for Rai Radio2. He founded the Italian production company "Quarantadue" (42), which writes, develops, and produces original TV and cinema content internationally. He wrote and produced two original Netflix documentary series: "SanPa: Sins of the Savior" (in 2020) and "The Case of Yara Gambirasio: Beyond Any Reasonable Doubt" (in 2024), for which he makes his directorial debut.
