Thanks to his deep connections within the international Asian hip-hop community, Miyashiro's soundtrack was widely hailed as a breakthrough for the sub-genre. It featured a number of up-and-coming artists and led to a blockbuster deal with Sony Pictures TV.
Miyashiro has additional soundtrack credits, including the Rich Brian track "Kids" on the soundtrack to "The Invisible Man" (2020), a supernatural thriller starring Elizabeth Moss. He is the executive producer of the music video for "Kids," released in 2019. Also in 2019, Miyashiro produced and released "Asia Rising: The Next Generation of Hip Hop" in partnership with Red Bull and his multi-platform production company 88rising.
Recently, Sean Miyashiro has transitioned into feature film production. His first full-length film debuted at the 2023 Sundance film festival.

Sean Miyashiro has been interviewed or featured in several high-profile national and international publications, including the New Yorker, National Public Radio, Billboard, Business Insider, and the New York Times.
