Lion Dodsworth is an American, actor, athlete, martial artist and model with African, Dutch, and Native American heritage.
He is currently starring in Superpowers Aren't A Thing (2023) alongside Jackie Ho, directed by Lorenzo Gonzalez.
In 2022, he recently wrapped filming the feature Paradox and also stars in the acclaimed short film Shot Clock.
Lion undertook training at Herbert Berghoff Studio in the West Village of New York where he studied classical and contemporary acting, voice, movement, improvisation, Alexander + Hagen technique and more. He also attended Lewis Smith's Actors Academy in Los Angeles where he studied acting within the frame, comedy, multi-cam, prop training, and Meisner.
As a martial artist, with over a decade of experience, he's trained boxing at Trinity Boxing Club in New York City, Jeet Kune Do (created by Bruce Lee) in Brooklyn and is now working with the esteemed Orion Lee, also trainer of Kyle Allen, on countless other martial arts systems including Kung Fu and sword training.
Lion has qualifications in multiple sports including basketball, football, track & field, and boxing, also competing nationally in half-marathons.
As a successful model he has been honored to grace the cover of Obvious Magazine as well as represent multiple brands in runway shows and print ads.
