Johnnie Walker was born on January 7, 1894 in New York City, New York. At the age of 20 he began singing and dancing in vaudeville. He starred in Edison films and then went to Fox where he was billed as a star. Johnnie's greatest movies were Over the Hill (1920) in which he played the black sheep son who saved his mother from the poorhouse and Old Ironsides in which he played Lt. Steven Decatur. He is also known for The Matinee Idol which had great success when it was "revived" in 1996. Johnnie was dapper and often touted as the best dressed man in Hollywood. He was married to Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty, Maude Wayne and Broadway actress, Rena Parker. He died on December 5, 1949 in New York City.
