Paolo Virzì was born on 4 March 1964 in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy. He is a writer and director, known for Tutta la vita davanti (2008), Like Crazy (2016) and The First Beautiful Thing (2010). He has been married to Micaela Ramazzotti since 17 January 2009. They have two children. He was previously married to Paola Tiziana Cruciani.

In December 2008 announced his engagement to Italian actress <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0708045/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Micaela Ramazzotti</a>. He directed her in <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt1075114/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Tutta la vita davanti (2008)</a>.

Children: daughter Ottavia (b. 1989) with Tiziana; son Jacopo (b. March 2010) and daughter Anna (b. April 15, 2013) with Micaela.
