Well-know for being full of energy and being always in a good shape.

At the age of 62, she became the oldest "Madrinha da Bateria" ("Godmother of Drums") of school of samba Grande Rio, one of the biggest of Brazilian Carnival. This place is usually occupied by very young models. (2005)

In 2015, she was diagnosed with chronic lymphoid leukemia. After treatment with medication and weekly chemotherapy sessions, she revealed that her illness is incurable, but is under control. She continues to work.
