Valentin Turkin was born on 6 February 1887 in Novocherkassk, Don Voisko Oblast, Russian Empire [now Rostov Oblast, Russia]. He was a writer and cinematographer, known for The Girl with the Hat Box (1927), Ne pojman - ne vor (1923) and Venetziansky chulok (1915). He died on 10 January 1958.
