Andreas started his career in 1974 as commercial films Director, while he was 20 years old, being the youngest director to direct commercials. He directed more than 700 TV spots in the next 17 years for international advertisers and awarded for many of them with local and international awards.
He was also the youngest director in Greece to direct a feature film in 1981. On the side of his directorial career, he wrote screenplays for feature films as well as some of the most successful television comedy series, having more than 70 weeks of top audience ratings.
Additionally, he was active in the institutional side of the Greek film industry, being a member of the board of Greek Director's Guild and General Secretary in the Greek Screen Writer's Guild. Served also for 5 years as a member of the Board of the Greek Film Centre, the state production organization, authorizing 20-25 feature film productions annually. Since 1990 he's constantly re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Greek Producers Association, being since 2012, the President of the BoD.
In 1989 he line produced the Greek segment "Life Without Zoe" of the feature film "New York Stories" for Touchstone Pictures, USA , directed by Francis Ford Coppola and since then he gradually summons his creativity to producing. Until now he has produced more than 1.000 commercial spots (for clients such as Coca-Cola, L'Oreal, Samsung, Nestle, Vodafone, etc) and hundredths of TV hours. Additionally he line produced more than 100 commercials (for clients such as Apple, Johnny Walker, Nissan, Mondelez, American Express, Visa, etc) plus many international long form projects.
From 1990 to 1999, he was the Managing Director/ Executive Producer and partner in Mangos Studios (one of the biggest post-production studios at the time in Europe); in Powernet (one of the first and biggest web developing applications in Greece) and Sierra Post (the biggest sound studio in Greece offering dubbing services to Disney INC, Fox INC, etc).
In 1999, he established his own production company Central Athens SA, which until today is a leading production company in Greece for international commercials and long form projects shot in Greece.
As a personal interest he has developed software for audiovisual applications; published numerous articles and gave lectures on Film Production, as well as composed and wrote lyrics for several rock songs, which have been awarded with platinum records.
