Ron Termaat was born in De Bilt, Netherlands in 1959. After studying at the Dutch Film and Television Academy he began directing short films and television series as HOTEL AMOR, CONSULT and WESTENWIND. In 1995 he direc¬ted the Prix Europe winning single play CHOPSTICKS.
His first feature film GUTS, was written, directed en produced by himself. In 1999 and 2000 GUTS was selected for the festivals of Toronto, L.A. and Sochi (Russia) and won the important Dutch Grolsch film¬prize. After 2000 he directed two shorts, SALTBATTLE and BAD LUCK and many television series as TRAUMA 24/7, COSTA, ROZEGEUR & WODKA LIME, LIEVE LUST, KOPPELS, JULIA'S TANGO, DE HOOFDPRIJS, DOKTER DEEN and HET GEHEIM VAN EYK.
In 2009 he directed the feature film DON'T TOUCH MY CHILDREN. Besides the he teaches camera acting to students of the theatre academies of Maastricht en Amsterda
