- Character actress. A banker's daughter, on stage from 1906 and for many decades cast as 'grand dames' at theatres throughout Berlin and Vienna. On screen from silent days, but relegated to smaller roles from the 30's with increasingly sporadic appearances as aunts or wives, latterly grandmothers.
- She continued her career successfully in the sound film era with the productions "Die göttliche Jette" (1937), "Kora Terry" (1940), "Friedemann Bach" (1941) and "Opfergang" (1944).
- The actress Annemarie Steinsieck began her film career already in 1916 with "Sami, der Seefahrer" (1916). She continued her film career in the 20s and played support roles in silent movies.
