After graduating from Pepperdine University, New York Film Academy, and UCLA for screenwriting, Amy gathered actors from her job on Boy Meets World to star in her first feature film Buck Naked Arson (Best Feature, San Fransisco Film Fest) which Variety described "As if John Hughes re-made Rashomon." Amy then moved into the studio world winning the 2005 Disney Fellowship with her romantic comedy Running Mate and sold her comedy Kept Men to Paramount Pictures. Since then, Amy has brought her trademark love of big comedies with lots of heart to projects at Fox Studios, Weintraub Films, Chernin Entertainment, Kopelson Entertainment and Dreamworks Pictures. In 2010 she made the Hit List with her spec script Launching the Pattersons and sold her original feature Kylie Claus to the Disney Channel. In 2012, Amy wrote the romantic adventure comedy My Lucky Star for actress Ziyi Zhang, as well as Family Camp and Family of the Bride for Sony Pictures, as well as the television pilot Daddy's Girl. Since then, she's written five feature films for the China market, sold a comedy pilot to Amazon, and adapted the books Blind Courage and Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters into features. Amy was born in Oklahoma, was raised in Palos Verdes, and resides in Los Angeles with her family and three dogs. She is represented by Bryan Besser and Zach Carlisle at Verve Talent and Allison Binder at Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson & Binder, and Alex Hertzberg of Hertzberg Media.
