Good Omens star David Tennant is to play infamous Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen in an ITV drama from the makers of Sky and HBO’s Catherine The Great.

New Pictures’ three-part miniseries, Des, is based on the Brian Masters book Killing For Company, in which the author cooperated with Nilsen to get inside the mind of a man who murdered at least 15 men and boys between 1978 and 1983. Nilsen died in jail last year.

Joining Tennant is The Crown star Jason Watkins, who will play Masters, and Line Of Duty actor Daniel Mays, who features as Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay. The story charts Nilsen’s arrest and trial, through the prism of the three men.

Des was developed by Luke Neal and Lewis Arnold, with Neal writing the first two episodes and Kelly Jones penning the third. Willow Grylls, Kim Varvell, Charlie Pattinson, Elaine Pyke, Neal, Lewis Arnold and Tennant are the executive producers.

Now that Arrow films have taken on the distribution rights for Terminal featuring Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, Dexter Fletcher and Max Irons, a new UK trailer has been released.

Vaughn Stein makes his directorial debut on a script he also wrote. The cast includes Margot Robbie as Annie, Simon Pegg as Bill, Dexter Fletcher as Vince, Max Irons, Mike Myers, Jourdan Dunn as Conejo, Matthew Lewis as Lenny, Thomas Turgoose as Raymond, Nick Moran as Illing, Katrina Čas as Chloe Merryweather and Jay Simpson as Danny.

Also in trailers – Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Reilly, Jake Gyllenhaal and Riz Ahmed lead an all-star cast in trailer for The Sisters Brothers

The film will be released in UK Cinemas on 6th July before arriving to DVD, Blu-ray, Digital and On-Demand on 6th August.

Paul Ritter, Jessie Buckley, Adrian Rawlins and Con O’Neill have joined HBO’s miniseries Chernobyl, a co-production between HBO and Sky. They join previously announced Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson.

Production on the miniseries began last month in Lithuania. Chernobyl will debut on HBO in the U.S. and on Sky Atlantic in their territories as well as on their streaming service Now TV.

Written by Craig Mazin, the five-part miniseries dramatizes the true story of one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history — the April 26, 1986 explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in then- Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic — and tells of the brave men and women who sacrificed to save Europe from unimaginable disaster.

Also joining the large-scale production are Sam Troughton, Adam Nagaitis, Ralph Ineson, Mark Lewis Jones, Fares Fares and David Densik.

Cast also includes Robert Emms, Jay Simpson, Gerard Kearns, Michael Socha, Jamie Sives, Kieran O’Brien, Karl Davies, Billy Postlethwaite, Alex Ferns and James Cosmo.

Cherynobyl is produced by Sister Pictures and the Mighty Mint as an HBO/Sky Television co-production. Carolyn Strauss executive produces with Jane Featherstone and Craig Mazin. Co-executive producing are Chris Fry and Johan Renck, who also directs. Sanne Wohlenberg produces.

The United Kingdom film production company Stealth Media Group continues to develop exciting thrillers. Rearview is no different. This title recently completed production and the story follows a woman lost in the wilds. Trying to find her bandmates, Nikki (Antonia Thomas) finds herself on the highway of tears where an active serial killer is conducting business. Her chance of escape narrows as the locals refuse to help.

Now, the first movie poster for the film is here. Shown center is Nikki. She is on the run and the tagline promises: "The terror starts once she stops." Ben Wilkin, and James Floyd will also star with more details on Rearview below.

E4 Misfits' star Antonia Thomas takes the lead role in new British indie psychological road thriller, Rearview.

Nicky (Thomas) is a young woman traveling alone to meet her band mates - through the back roads of the British countryside - who escapes the clutches of a dangerous stranger. Her road trip soon turns from bad to worse as she finds herself running for her life as she attempts to escape the serial killer and the hordes of predatory locals in the area known as "The Highway of Tears".

Antonia (represented by Curtis Brown), a graduate of Bristol Old Vic drama school, stars alongside Jamie Sives (One Day), Jay Simpson (Pride & Prejudice) and James Floyd (Everywhere & Nowhere), and the film is the directorial debut of Avril E Russell.

The film shot on location in Bedfordshire, UK in October 2011 and should be released next year.

When it comes appreciating the fine arts, I often find myself drawn to the philosophies espoused by the renowned art critic Homer Jay Simpson. Hush Your Mouth was released on DVD yesterday. It’s a gritty look at a young man’s way of coping after his brother is killed. The movie looks at how he, his sister and his mother cope with this tragedy as well as following the way in which the police track down who committed the crime.
