The producers at New Line Cinema had the opening fatality of Final Destination 3 in their back pocket well before the movie’s 2006 premiere. In fact, talks of a deadly theme park ride made the rounds before creative partners James Wong and Glen Morgan returned to write the script. After the disappointing return on 2003’s Willard, New Line wanted something thrilling for its next horror project. A “roller coaster” movie, as New Line founder Robert Shaye put it. Like-minded Richard Brener is also owed some credit; the executive producer apparently was on the same wavelength after brainstorming ideas — initially anything big and transportational, such as boats and trains — for the intended conclusion of this franchise. Sometimes, high school can be a virtual hell. Mileage varies by the individual, of course, but in a place where acceptance at a lunch table can be akin to finding an oasis in a desert, there's more weight on the shoulders of many teens than just their backpack straps. Such is the case for Ewen High School student Carrie White, the telekinetic titular character of Stephen King's seminal debut novel published in 1974.

When I first heard about Jen and Sylvia Soska (re: Soska Twins/The Soskas), I admit I had never seen their work. I had zero idea about who they were, or how they had come to Indie Horror prominence, yet once I started hearing their names, it became almost a daily occurrence.

Something about this concerned me, though, because the first thing I heard about them was, “Have you seen 'American Mary'? They're awesome for female Directors! Their stuff can lean a bit extreme feminist at times, but, they're not bad, at all!” – and that didn't quite sit well, with me. The way their work was described was almost 'man-hating', and for obvious reasons, I found myself hesitant to seek out their work.

WWE Studios have some success and some failure with their releases but with See No Evil the reception was definitely mixed. One of their earliest movies it used Glen “Kane” Jacobs in the role of the psychotic killer Jacob Goodnight and I will admit to liking it, it had its flaws but it was fun a fun horror with plenty of gore. When the See No Evil 2 was announced it caught the attention of horror fans with the Soska Sisters were taking the reigns as directors and bringing scream queens Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle with them as part of the cast.

WWE superstar Kane is on a rampage in the new trailer for See No Evil 2.

The WWE Studios movie is a sequel from directors Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska, and stars Kane as sadistic serial killer Jacob Goodnight.

Jacob Goodnight is thought to be dead following a murder spree at the Blackwell Hotel, but rises to torment workers at the morgue where he is being kept.

See No Evil 2 also stars Chelan Simmons (Good Luck Chuck), Katharine Isabelle (Hannibal) and Danielle Harris (Free Willy).

It will be released later this year in the Us.

WWE Studios – which produced See No Evil 2 - also recently found success with Karen Gillan's horror film Oculus and will soon release Leprechaun: Origins.

Yesterday was press day for See No Evil 2 at San Diego Comic-Con, and the one thing we weren't able to find out is when we'll be able to see the film, but today that changes. Read on for the details, trailer, and Blu-ray/DVD artwork!

When he walked into the room, he nearly blotted out the sun that was peering through the hotel window while shining brightly on the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. There I was, ready to go one-on-one with the demon Kane, and I managed to come out without a scratch.

Before I begin, at this time I'd like to thank Kane for not chokeslamming me when I tried putting him in a sleeper. Of course I kid, but he was eyeballing some chairs and tables ominously during our interview about the resurrection of Jacob Goodnight for the Lionsgate / WWE Studios film See No Evil 2.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Danielle Harris, Katharine Isabelle, and Michael Eklund will star in See No Evil 2 and we have the names of four others who have joined the cast. It has been officially announced that Greyston Holt, Chelan Simmons, Kaj Eriksen, and Lee Majdoub will all appear in the horror sequel, directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska.

All of the four new cast members have dabbled in genre projects before, but Chelan Simmons (pictured below) is probably most recognizable for her role in Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Kane will return as Jacob Goodnight , with production expected to begin this fall. Previously, Variety revealed that the script will be co-written by Nathan Brookes and Bobby Lee Darby, featuring Jacob Goodnight “rising from the dead in the city morgue” after his killing spree at the Blackwell hotel. Earlier this month, we learned that Bell Media had cancelled The La Complex after two seasons on the air. The low-rated drama aired on The CW here in the states but was produced in Canada.

Word was that The CW was involved in talks about possibly keeping the show going for a third season but we now know that won't happen. The CW has cancelled La Complex as well, according to THR.

The series was sold to nearly 170 territories so the show could potentially continue without the Us and Canada outlets but that seems highly unlikely.

The beloved X-Files alum has signed on for an arc on Bryan Fuller’s upcoming Hannibal, the NBC drama that chronicles the early relationship of Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy).

According to Entertainment Weekly, Anderson will portray Lecter's therapost, Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier. She will appear on at least three episodes.
