She is best known for her film debut role in A League of Their Own (1992) as Evelyn Gardner, the teary-eyed right-fielder who was told by Tom Hanks that "There's no crying in baseball!".
She is an accomplished stage actress, having appeared in Neil Simon's Broadway hit "Laughter on the 23rd Floor," with Nathan Lane, and in Off-Broadway's "Blackout" and "One Acts" by Warren Leight.
