Stefano Salvati as director and producer has made films, music videos, commercials, music programs for television and theatrical performances.

He has directed video clips and music broadcasts for many Italian singers:
Vasco Rossi, Zucchero, Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Eros Ramazzotti, Laura Pausini, Antonello Venditti, Renato Zero, Paolo Conte, Riccardo Cocciante, Fiorello, Biagio Antonacci, Max Pezzali and 883, Gianna Nannini, Gianni Morandi, Fabrizio De Andrè, Giorgia, Gianluca Grignani, Irene Grandi and many others.
He has also directed some foreign artists, including Sting, Aerosmith, Billy Preston, Tony Childs, Toquinho etc.
He directed with Roman Polanski the video clip "Gli Angeli" by Vasco Rossi; the video was presented at the Venice Film Festival and won numerous awards around the world.

In 1998 he made "Jolly blu" the film of 883 (for the homevideo market, it was released a few days in 6 theaters as a presentation of the event).
180,000 videotapes of "Jolly blu" were sold in a few months (third collection of the year) and reached almost 5 million viewers on Italia 1 (one of the highest ratings ever for Italia 1).
In 2005 he directed the feature film "E solo un rock'n'roll show" with Vasco Rossi, the first example in the world of movieclip, an operation that mixes cinema with video clips.

In 2020 Salvati, as spokesperson for the entire Italian discography, convinces the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Franceschini, to sign the law on video clips (tax credit).
