The eight-part mystery-romance podcast is produced by Ayr Media and will serve as an extension of Hallmark’s Mahogany content line, a Black culture initiative that was originally launched as a card line more than 30 years ago and then resurfaced as an entertainment offering last year.

The podcast follows Sonora Williams, a prominent lawyer in New York City who receives a letter in the mail about an uncle who passed away and left her his farm in Alabama.

The Fallen Angels Murder Club anthology pics feature Braxton as Hollis Morgan, an ex-con-turned-amateur sleuth set out to investigate a series of murders at her book club. Exclusive: Lifetime has rounded out cast for both installments of Toni Braxton’s Fallen Angels Murder Club, and Angie Harmon’s Barstow (working title) movies. The movies fall under previously signed deals with Braxton and Harmon, in which they will star in and executive produce multiple films for Lifetime.

Eddie Cibrian has joined the first installment of Braxton’s Fallen Angels, while Kelly Hu joins the cast of the second film. Both films are based on the Hollis Morgan mystery book series by author R. Franklin James.

Cibrian stars as Avery Mitchell, Hollis Morgan’s (Braxton) charismatic boss, while Hu will make her debut in the second installment as the mysterious Joelle. Both productions have started filming and will premiere in 2022. Additionally, Harmon’s Barstow (working title) movies has added Kristoffer Polaha as Elliot, a mysterious stranger with a troubling past.

In the first installment of Fallen Angels Murder Club (wt), members of the Club must have two things in common – a love for books and have a criminal record. Hollis Morgan (Braxton) meets both requirements. Left holding the bag in an insurance fraud scheme concocted by her ex-husband, Hollis served her time and now hopes the court will pardon her conviction so she can return to law school and fulfill her dream of becoming a lawyer. But when a member of her book club is murdered in a scene straight out of the previous night’s novel, Hollis once again becomes the subject of police scrutiny. Refusing to get stuck with another bad rap, Hollis sets out to investigate her fellow club members and after a second book-inspired murder, she races to identify the killer before she becomes the next victim.

In Barstow (wt),Harmon stars as Hazel King, a single mother determined to shield her daughter from the life she once had while protecting and defending those who can’t protect themselves. Plucked off the streets of Las Vegas at 15, Hazel was trained as a hit woman until a surprisng pregnancy drives her to leave it all behind. Living as a single mother running a diner in Barstow with her teenage daughter, Hazel’s past eventually catches up with her and she’s pulled back in for one more hit.

Additional cast include Lauren Richards, George Paez, Tim Granaderos, Gabriel Rodriguez, Casey Mills, Ben Cain, Anthony Reynolds and Nelson Bonilla.

The cable channel has announced that Saints & Sinners: Judgment Day, the TV series' first movie, will air on Sunday, February 14th. The movie will bridge to the fifth season of the Saints & Sinners series which will launch on Sunday, April 11th.

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 28 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 28; last year only 21 TV movies were submitted.

All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until July 13 to cast their 2020 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. In 2017 that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. The special 10th anniversary edition of the top-rated programming event, Countdown to Christmas, begins in October on the Hallmark Channel and encompasses 24 new, original holiday movies. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas will also premiere 16 new films.

Bounce has renewed Saints & Sinners for a fourth season for premiere in summer 2019. The network today also announced a new licensing agreement with Hulu for the first three seasons of the hit drama series, making all previous episodes available for streaming ahead of the Season 4 premiere. The deal marks the first time originally-produced content from the multicast network will be available on the premium streaming service.

Saints & Sinners centers around the pursuit of power, intertwined with greed, deception, corruption, compromising sexual affairs and murder – all set against the backdrop of a large southern church. Cliffhangers and twists abound in the series, which is set Cypress, Georgia, a sleepy southern town outside Atlanta.

Kevin Hart is getting animated. (Well, even more so than usual.)

The actor/comedian will star in and executive-produce an animated Fox sitcom based on his childhood, according to our sister site Deadline. Fox has ordered a pilot presentation for Lil Kev, which follows a highly imaginative 12-year-old boy as he navigates the streets of North Philadelphia with the help of “his strong, quick-tempered mother, drug-addicted father, pessimistic older brother, ex-con uncle and wise-ass talking dog.”

Along with Hart, Lil Kev will feature the voices of Wanda Sykes (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Deon Cole (black-ish), Gerald “Slink” Johnson (Black Jesus) and stand-up comic Keith Robinson.

Keith Robinson announced today on the PlayStation Blog that Sony will launch updated versions of three of his classic Intellivision games on PlayStation Home this fall; Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, and Night Stalker.

All three Intellivision titles will be “enhanced yet completely faithful conversions” of their classic counterparts, with improved graphics and some added features that were not possible back in the early 1980′s.

Astrosmash will still have you defending the plant from falling asteroids, but there is now a difficulty level progressions system (as if the original game was not hard enough), more types of UFOs, and power-ups for your weapon.

Shark! Shark! retains its fish-eat-fish gameplay, but the game’s underwater foes now swim in a variety of new patterns and if you “win the mermaid’s heart” there are bonus rounds.
