- His father, Adolfo, Sr., was Puerto Rican while his mother, Ruth McDaniel, was African-American with roots in Mississippi.
- Once used "Sir Lance-a-Lock, as his dance name.
- Was crowned "Hip Hops first matinee idol", by Dance Magazine because of box office hits like "Breakin'", and Breakin II Electric Boogaloo".
- Has one daughter and one son.
- Taught actor/choreographer Darrin Dewitt Henson of Soul Food (2000) fame how to "Lock".

- He choreographed and appeared in Lionel Richie's video "All Night Long".
- Was nicknamed "King Rookie", because of his easy ability to learn choreography quickly, when he was a member of the "Original Lockers".
- Is co-producing with actor / director Eli Harris as well as reprising his role as "Ozone", in the upcoming film Break'n Revolution. The original film name is Breakin', and was an 80s cult classic. (April 2006)
- Sold home in LA and is now living in France. (2004)
