- Died in a plane crash, along with his son, Robert Prohaska, while working on the ABC TV series Up from the Ape (1975) (aka "Primal Man").
- Actor/stunt man/animal imitator.
- Best known as the talking, cookie-mad bear during the last years of The Andy Williams Show (1969). This character was always trying to wheedle a cookie out of Williams and was constantly, but never violently, rebuffed. Because of Prohaska's Hungarian accent, his voice was dubbed by one of the show's writers, Ray Reese.
