Lili Popivanova was born on November 5, 1922 in Nevrokop, Bulgaria . Her father was George Popivanov , a politician from Bulgarian Agrarian Union , elected to parliament, but after the imposition of communism he was a prisoner in the camp of Belene . While she was a student, she attended the theatrical school, leaded by Nikolay Fol in Sofia , then she studied in the theatrical studios, leaded by Bojan Danovski . In 1938 she became dramatic student at the National Theatre . She participated in performances for children, playing mostly boyish roles - David Copperfield ( " David Copperfield " by Dickens), Boy ( "Two children around the world" by M. Olfyus), Dinyo ( "Dinyo laziness" by f Boris Borozanov ). She participated as a storyteller of children's tales on the Bulgarian radio. For more than half a century she recreated a number of memorable roles. She played Rada in the movie "Under the Yoke". She was dedicated in love with theater. She was always ready to help the younger ones. She created a warm and casual atmosphere around her. And everyone loved her ... In 1948 she entered the Bulgarian Agrarian People's Union. Since 1976 she was a member of the Board of the party. She was awarded the Order "People Republic Bulgaria" III degree in 1972 and a grade I in 1982. She died on November 19, 2008 in Sofia.
