Giulio Pietromarchi, is a cinematographer, AIC member, and photographer who started working at the age of 16 with the great sculptress Niki de Saint Phalle taking pictures and filming for the 24 years it took to realize the project of the Tarot Garden in Tuscany, Italy. This long collaboration led him to document the artist's work in France, Switzerland and the United States, which resulted in several publications worldwide, and an exhibition with his photos at MoMA PS1, New York in 2021, and earned him collaborations with other sculptors. In 1983, without abandoning his passion for photography, he began his career in the film industry as a camera operator before, becoming cinematographer in 1993, he is an AIC member. Since 2014 he also is professor teaching lighting for film and video at the European Institution of Design in Rome, Italy.
