Stefano Pesce is an Italian actor. He was born on October 19, 1967, in
Bologna, to Mauro Pesce, biblical scholar and historian of religions,
and Adriana Destro, an anthropologist. His parents are professors at
the University of Bologna. He has a sister, Sara, a research professor
of cinema history at the University of Bologna. During infancy he
followed his parents in their study trips, in Germany and in Jerusalem.
He attended a theatre school in Milan, a specialization course in Rome
and partecipated in a theatre tour international. Pesce had his first
role in 2002 in the film 'Da Zero a Dieci', in 2003 he took part in the
comedy 'Ma Che Colpa Abbiamo Noi'. He found success in television with
crime series 'Ris', 'Distretto di Polizia 9', tv movies 'Il commissario
De Luca' and 'Tutti i rumori del mondo', mystery tv show 'Il
tredicesimo apostolo'. In 2010 he interpreted the play 'Caligula',
written by Albert Camus; in 2012 has written and performed the
monologue 'Crisi'. From the 1998 until today, Stefano Pesce is
romantically linked to actress Barbara Mautino, they have a daughter.
