Venezuelan Film and Tv Director and Producer.
He directed, wrote and produced the well-known and popular television series "Archivo Criminal". It was its success that led him to create and produce another television series called "Archivos Del Más Allá", widely watched and nominated for an International Emmy in 2003. Both, for RCTV. Radio Caracas Televisión.
He produced several films for RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana) and Los Angeles' Canon Pictures, including "Wings", "Le Gorille", and "American Ninja V".
He was the director, producer and screenwriter of award-winning film "Memorias de un Soldado", which obtained twelve awards in Venezuela's major film festivals and classified in the 15th edition of Shanghai's International Film Festival.
He was the President of the Venezuelan Chamber of Full-Length Film Producers (CAVEPROL). He represents Venezuela in the Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers (FIPCA) for the 2013-2016 period. Now is the President of the Film Academy of Venezuela. He also was the chairperson representing Venezuela in The Oscars committee and member of the Platino Ibero-American Awards' Board of Directors.
In 2018 he premiered in Venezuela his second feature film, "Muerte en Berruecos" (Death in Berruecos) [5] a thriller that goes deep into investigations of the murder of the "Grand Marshal of Ayacucho" Antonio José de Sucre, which occurred in June 1830. Later in 2019 the film was premiered in Ecuador and USA. In 2021, the film was a candidate for Best Ibero-American Film at the 35th edition of the Goya Awards.
His last movie, "Hotel Providencia", will be released in March 2022.
