Ewart G. Morrison
- Actor
Ewart G. Morrison was born in 1900. First a theater actor, he later became... an arboriculturist. Mobilized at the outset of the Second World War, Major Morrison was taken prisoner by the Italians but managed to escape to Switzerland. There, Léopold Lindtberg hired him for The Last Chance (1945), maybe the country's most famous film, to play a role very close to him, that of a British soldier who ran away from a camp: he even wore the clothes that were his during his exploit. In Switzerland, he appeared in a second important movie, Fred Zinnemann's The Search (1948), which was also marked the end of his very brief career.
