Throughout the 1970s, was employed by Danilo Donati as a researcher. From 1977-80, translated interviews and scripts from Italian into English for Cinemedia West Corporation (Los Angeles) , a documentary production company of which her then-husband, Giancarlo Lui, was the founder and president.

From the late 1970s until 1980, was a member of the pre-production team for "Catherine the Great", a Bob Guccione film project that eventually was aborted.

Has two sons, Joshua (born1986) and Gianpaul (born 1973).

Her first novel as author Pola Muzyka 'Escape the Hezbollah' won the CSP Book of the Year 2010 Award for Fiction.
