- Miller was at Republic Pictures, working on a Gene Autry western, Gaucho Serenade (1940), when he had a heart attack and collapsed. He died a short time later.
- American character actor, who began in silent films (1911) for D.W. Griffith's company and with Biograph. Alternated between screen work and the stage. At his peak he starred in a dozen or so cliffhangers opposite serial queen Allene Ray.

- Walter Miller and Allene Ray, stars of the 1925 Pathe serial "The Green Archer" were featured on a 78 RPM flexible record on the Pathe label promoting the serial. The label stated "Hear Pathe's famous serial stars speak to you!".
