Marin Miller
- Actress
- Writer
- Casting Director
Born in Tennessee, the daughter of actors Mary Jane Harvill and Myke Mueller (Miller), Marin made her professional stage debut at age 7 with Nashville Repertory Theatre and film debut at age 10 when she was thoroughly attacked by trolls in Jim Varney's Ernest Scared Stupid. After earning a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Sewanee and training at the Michael Howard Studios in NYC, with Fay Simpson and Patsy Rodenburg, Marin went on to a successful career in theatre before shifting to the screen. "Nothing prepared me for film more than the live audience. They demand honesty, tell you what works, and instruct your timing. In front of the lens, the audience is still with me, in my bones. Their presence is felt." Marin recurred as Brenda, the sharp-tongued waitress, on CMT's Still The King, voiced multiple characters for the animated series, Veggie Tales, can be spotted on ABC's Blackish, Sundance Channel's Rectify, and in numerous commercials and independent films, including the self-penned award-winning short, Whether You Like It Or Not, which garnered her "Best Actress" at the L.A. Comedy Festival.
