María Victoria Menis is Argentine, born in Buenos Aires.
Film, theater and television director and screenwriter
Graduated as a Filmmaker at the prestigious ENERC Film School.
Graduated as a Social Psychologist at the Pichon Riviere School of Social Psychology.
He gave classes at the University of Buenos Aires, at Enerc and at the Instituto de Cine de
Avellaneda. Member of La Mujer y El Cine, of the Academy of Cinema and Visual Arts of
Argentina and the Feminist Action Film Organization.
She won two Géorge Méliés Awards for his short films. His films ¨El Cielito¨, ¨La Cámara
Oscura¨, "María y ell Araña", and "My Hist (e) Ia en ell cine", among others, received numerous
Awards in Argentina and abroad. He received the National Dramaturgy Prize and the Prize
Argentores for different theatrical pieces and obtained the Martín Fierro Prize for two of his
series.
Maria Victoria Menis is a Latin American film director, widely recognized in the world
audiovisual for his films that address social and conflicting themes of characters
female. Directs fiction films and documentaries. His films have been released in theaters
from Europe, Canada and Latin America and have been exhibited on numerous international channels
television channels, including Canal Arte de Francia, Televisión Española, HBO and Cinemax.
With his films he has toured numerous International Festivals, obtained different
awards, with retrospectives in the United States at New York's Lincoln Center and at the
Oslo Festival of Norway.
