I did wonder how well Good Omens would translate from book to screen. Well, it worked, and now we’re ready to see how it all comes to an end. Well, sort of. We’re not “ready” ready, but it does need an ending.
This is one of those series that can’t be duplicated. There isn’t anything else out there that matches the energy, but there are a fair few shows that come somewhat close. It all depends on the elements you want to gain from Good Omens in other works.
Here are six shows worth watching.

Many NCIS fans are anxiously awaiting the return of Michael Weatherly to the series. He will join Cote de Pablo for the spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva on Paramount+ in 2025. Weatherly has also shown off his impressive weight loss as they are shooting the season.
Here is a look at how much weight the actor has lost in anticipation of his big NCIS return.
Michael Weatherly Loses 35 Pounds For NCIS Return
Michael Weatherly knew he would have a lot more running around and action scenes in NCIS: Tony & Ziva than when he was on his last show, the legal drama Bull. As a result, he knew it was time to lose some weight. The results are impressive.

Paramount and the revived Republic Pictures are betting on indie films to complement their tentpole movies like Mission Impossible and Gladiator II.
The studio’s chief content licensing officer Dan Cohen spoke at a MIPCOM Media Mastermind Keynote Session in Cannes Tuesday afternoon, confirming the U.S. and Canadian rights to their “Coen brothers-esque” noir film Adulthood, directed by Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure Star Alex Winter, has been picked up by Republic Pictures.
“You get an announcement today,” Cohen, also president of Republic Pictures, told World Screen’s Anna Carugati, who was moderating. “We have a film coming called Adulthood. It’s a bit of a Coen brothers-esque [story]. It stars Josh Gad and Kaya Scodelario. It’s a really fun movie. We also have a film called Bad Apples coming from Saoirse Ronan, a four-time Oscar nominee and I think a good actor working today.”

Throughout the years of NCIS, there have been many characters whose exits have left a gaping hole in the hearts of viewers. Until this year, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, who portrayed Tony Dinozzo and Ziva David on the show, were the most missed franchise couple. Now, however, their characters will be reunited in an NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff.
Another character whose absence still upsets a large portion of the audience is Abby Sciuto, portrayed by Pauley Perrette. However, the upcoming spinoff could open a door for her to return to the franchise.
Why Did Abby Leave NCIS?
Originally, Pauley Perrette decided to take a leave of absence from the show because of her growing feud with Mark Harmon. It all started when Harmon's dog bit a crew member on set. Since then, the actress campaigned against him bringing the dog on set in the first place,...

With the announcement of the new spinoff NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the franchise has opened up a whole realm of possibilities never before explored. Previously, all NCIS spinoffs had the same formula, with only the location changing, but now the universe is being expanded with characters from the past continuing their story elsewhere.
While the European setting of the show, as well as the fact that it will be produced for streaming on Paramount Plus rather than airing on cable, further distances the spinoff from crossover opportunities, some character appearances could still be written into the script. And fans really want to see more familiar faces.
Will Jimmy Palmer Be on NCIS: Tony & Ziva?

Paramount’s upcoming action-packed show “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” will have issues of trust at its core, stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo said at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where the “NCIS” franchise is celebrating reaching 1,000 episodes.
The series, set to stream on Paramount+, focuses on their “NCIS” characters, Tony Dinozzo and Ziva David, after they have left the agency, and are bringing up their daughter, Tali, in Paris. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after.
In “NCIS,” Ziva was thought to have died, and Tony left the team to go raise Tali. Years later, Ziva was discovered alive. How did that affect her relationship with Tony and Tali?

With cameras soon to roll on their buzzy NCIS spin-off, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have gotten into the weeds on NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The pair were part of a large NCIS contingent here at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival to celebrate the juggernaut franchise hitting the 1,000-episode mark. It included the mothership series’ Brian Dietzen and Wilmer Valderrama who also talked about the expansion of what posters up for the Festival are referring to as the ‘NCISverse’.
What is known so far about the NCIS: Tony & Ziva spin-off is that it will follow Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva (de Pablo) and their daughter Tali, in Europe, and that they are forced to go on the run while trying to work out who is after them.
Weatherly and de Pablo were careful not to give away plot points, but did talk about how and why the series came about.

Paramount’s Tony & Ziva NCIS spinoff is untitled no more. The two stars of the Europe-set series, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, got on Zoom to unveil the moniker of the offshoot Tuesday.
After referencing a couple of titles that had been floated, NCIS: Europe and NCIS: Trust No One, the duo announced that the official title of their new show will be NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
“It makes it really easy because the fans will know exactly what the show is. It’s about Tony and Ziva in Europe,” de Pablo said.
The action-packed spinoff, which has a 10-episode order, will follow Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva (de Pablo) as they find themselves on the run across the old continent.
Filming on the series — the second extension of the NCIS franchise beyond the U.S. after NCIS: Sydney — is slated to begin this summer in Budapest. John McNamara is the writer/showrunner.

CBS Studios will produce the upcoming spinoff, and Paramount Global Content Distribution will distribute the series. Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain and Shelley Meals will also executive produce the series.

There’s really no stopping the NCIS franchise. CBS Studios is developing yet another NCIS spinoff series, but this one will bring back two fan-favourite characters from the original series. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are set to reprise their roles of Tony Dinozzo and Ziva David for a 10-episode series destined for the Paramount+ streaming service.
Cote de Pablo departed NCIS in 2013, with Michael Weatherly leaving two years later. After Ziva supposedly died, Tony left the service to raise their daughter, but when Ziva was found to be alive, the pair reunited in Paris after completing a final mission. That’s where the new show will pick up. Per the show’s logline, “When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they...

Paramount+ today announced a new series order for the next chapter in the NCIS franchise, starring Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly, who will reprise their roles as fan-favorite characters Ziva David and Tony Dinozzo.
That's right. Not only is another NCIS on the way, but it's starring two characters who blew the lid off of procedural romance storylines.
Slated to start production later this year, the 10-episode order of the all-new NCIS spinoff – the title of which will be announced at a later date – reunites de Pablo and Weatherly on screen for the first time in 10 years.
The two also will serve as executive producers alongside John McNamara, who wrote the premiere episode and will serve as showrunner. Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals will also executive produce.

The NCIS franchise is expanding again — with a pair of very familiar faces from its past.
Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are set to star in an untitled, Paris-set spinoff of the series, reprising their roles as, respectively, Ziva David and Tony Dinozzo. The series order comes on the heels of Weatherly returning to the flagship CBS series last week as NCIS paid tribute to the late David McCallum.
De Pablo left NCIS in 2013, and Weatherly departed two years later. In the show’s story, Tony left the service to raise his and Ziva’s daughter after her supposed death. When she was discovered to be still alive years later (de Pablo made several guest appearances in season 17), she completed a final mission and was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris.
The new series will pick up from there. Per the show’s logline, “When Tony’s security company is attacked,...

Despite how the title card for "Fargo" confidently states that "This is a true story," the Coen brothers' classic crime thriller is, in fact, a work of fiction. That's common knowledge at this point, but the Coens were inspired by actual real-world events when constructing the story. Instead of an exact retelling of a true crime story, the screenplay is a bit of a hodgepodge of elements taken from several news events with a good dose of the Coens' own original input. Strangely enough, the notoriously grisly woodchipper scene, which seems like the most fabricated part of the whole tale, is actually the part of the film that is closest to reality.
One inspiration, according to an interview with The Huffington Post, was John McNamara, who defrauded $6 billion from General Motors. Another possible influence was the case of St. Paul attorney T. Eugene Thompson, who put a hit out on...

Per Apple, “Physical,” which is set in the idyllic but fragile beach paradise of sunny 1980s San Diego, is a half-hour dark comedy following Sheila Rubin (Byrne), a quietly tortured, seemingly dutiful housewife supporting her smart but controversial husband’s bid for state assembly. But behind closed doors, Sheila has her own darkly funny take on life she rarely lets the world see. She’s also battling a complex set of personal demons relating to her self-image…. that is, until she finds release through the unlikeliest source: the world of aerobics.

Apple TV Plus released a trailer for its upcoming dark comedy “Physical” starring Rose Byrne.
The 10-episode series, which premieres globally on June 18, follows Byrne’s character Sheila as she transitions from being a housewife to a radical female lifestyle guru after getting hooked on aerobics.
“After just one class you can feel it happening. You becoming you again,” Byrne narrates in the trailer. “Don’t underestimate me.”
At the start of the trailer, Sheila has a highly-regimented life, from eating only “clean, healthy foods” to focusing on her daughter’s schedule. But anyone wound so tightly is bound to break — or at least be harboring some secrets — and Sheila soon enough proves to be no different.
But when her husband’s job is in jeopardy she realizes she can’t trust “this ding-dong with [her] life” and luckily finds a new outlet in the favorite new exercise of the 1980s.

Rose Byrne has no patience for cheese puffs or her husband in the first trailer for Apple TV+’s upcoming 1980s aerobics dramedy, “Physical.”
Set to debut on the streamer on June 18, the 10-episode series stars Byrne as a “quietly tortured” housewife with an acerbic inner monologue, who becomes a rising star in the world of aerobics. “The show tracks her journey from what we see in the pilot, where she sort of crosses this rubicon and discovers this new source of joy and power in her body,” Weisman said at a Television Critics Association panel for the show earlier this year.
