- Director
- Producer
Born to James Clark Moloney, (Talent Agent turned Producer, turned Screen Writer), and Kathleen O'Malley, (Actress and contract player at Universal Studios), and with Brother, Jay Moloney, (One of the young Turks, former agent, CAA). I've been exposed to all aspects of the show business since I was a child. Starting as an actor at nine years old, I worked with Clint Eastwood, (Dirty Harry), John Wayne, Jimmy Stuart, and Ron Howard, (The Shootist), John Cassavetes, (Minnie & Moskowitz), and many more. Because my father was an agent, my birthday parties would have appearances from the real Batman, (Adam West) & Robin, (Bert Ward). My uncle Paul Donnell ran Mark Seven Productions and was V.P. TV Universal studios for eighteen years. From '78 to '83 I had a small reoccurring role on General Hospital. And was a regular He improv player at the Comedy Store. After that, I was drawn toward jobs behind the camera. Learning production on commercial sets, I became a Production coordinator. I then Moved to Concorde/ New Horizons where I completed close to two dozen films for Roger Corman. Starting as a Lead man I quickly moved to Location Management, and ended up a Pickup and insert Director, grabbing establishing shots, missed coverage and additional scenes. After leaving Concorde New Horizons, I spent the next few years as a Location Scout/Manager on commercials where I scouted for Ridley & Tony Scott, Michael Bay, David Fincher, and many others. In 1999, I directed a film for Charlie Band at Surrender Films called Andromina the Pleasure Planet, and was visual effects director on Rage Against the Machine's "No Shelter". I began booking work as an effects director on commercials using a technique that mimicked the Matrix effect, freezing and distorting time cues. After the death of my Brother Jay Moloney, I briefly left the business and took a position as Business Development for a Think Tank called E City Studios. Learning a great deal about Glasses free 3d technology. I then formed a company called Native Media. A 3d Media network with 50" plasma screens set up in high traffic area's in malls and theaters, showing 3d content, (Glasses Free), and selling ad space on the network. After selling Native Media, I came back to my roots and began representing properties for film shoots and events. In June of 2016, I joined ICO Development, and represent ICO'S portfolio. As ICO grows, I grow with them, providing historic film properties to the Film, TV, and new media Business.
