Rhes Low, Actor/Producer
Rhes Low, originally from Laurel, MS, earned his BFA in theatre from Southern Methodist University. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he lived for six years working in theatre, film and television. In 2000, the Academy of Dramatic Arts awarded him a best actor nomination for his role in Emmy Award winning writer Jim Inman's play"A Weekend Night at Only's". In 2001, he was nominated for and won a best actor award at the IHP film fest held at the Directors Guild of America. In 2002, he received a second nomination.
In 2006 Rhes took a hiatus from acting and moved back to Oxford, MS where he opened Oxford's first gourmet grocery, Market Rhes. After that, Rhes garnered a wealth of experience working in corporate sales. It was during this period that Rhes was approached about teaching acting to children. He started the Oxford Acting Studio with 6 kids and now has a student body of 60 plus (ages 4-60). In order to best serve his students Rhes ventured back into the acting world and currently makes his living working throughout the southeast.
Rhes currently resides in Oxford, MS with his wife and children.
