A Vcr board game is the gateway to another realm of eerie entities and strange situations in Beyond the Gates. Ahead of its release this December from IFC Midnight, the new horror adventure film co-starring Barbara Crampton is teased in an official set of images.

You've got to watch this trailer for a fun looking throwback horror thriller called Beyond the Gates. I wasn't really sure what to make of this film when I first started watching the trailer, and then it got to a point where the main characters start playing a VHS-type board game in which they have to play to save their missing father's soul. That's the concept that grabbed my attention, and I love the whole VHS throwback vibe of it. It looks like it will be an entertaining flick! You can read Ben's review of it here. Vcr board games: they brought tabletop entertainment to a new, interactive level. In Beyond the Gates, though, two brothers discover a video board game that's a little too interactive, transferring them to another world where their dad's soul is on the line and a roll of the dice could lead to eternal torment. The Barbara Crampton-produced movie is now filming with Jackson Stewart behind the camera and a group of talented cast members playing the mysterious game.
