He graduated from the "Alessandro Fersen" acting school; after numerous stage appearances in the eighties, he worked on various films. Among his most famous roles is that of the male protagonist of the film Cosi fan tutte by Tinto Brass (1992), in which he plays the character of Claudia Koll's husband; he worked again with Brass in Fermo posta Tinto Brass (1995).
