Karen Kubeck's 35-plus year career of film and television makeup design includes work for Disney's "Splash" (designing Daryl Hannah's underwater body makeup and was part of the mermaid crew), and many movies of the 80's. Some television series include "Full House", "Matlock", "Extreme Makeover", "America's Next Top Model", "Heartbreakers" and "Betrayed" for Discovery ID. Karen worked on many music videos with music icons including Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Roger Waters, Jackson Browne and The Pointer Sisters. She's been a personal makeup artist to six women, including Phyllis Diller (8 years), Dermatologist to the Stars, Dr. Ava Shamban (25 years) and world renowned motivational speaker, Mary Morrissey (7 years). She has worked on many commercials, webisodes and award show red carpets.
Since 2012, Karen, known as the "Eyebrow Whisperer", has been teaching eyebrow classes at Aesthetics International, an advanced aesthetics school in Camarillo, CA.
Since 1996, Karen has owned "Karen Kubeck Makeup and Skincare Salon" in Santa Monica, CA offering brow design, personal makeup classes, facials and more.
