Magda Mihailova Kolchakova is Bulgarian theater and cinema actress. She was born on September 20, 1914 in Bansko, Bulgaria. In 1940, she graduated from Theater School at the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" and joined his troupe until his retirement. She has played in the plays "Boriana", "Outcasts," "Under the Yoke", "Golemanov", "Public Prosecutor", "Marriage," "Twelfth Night," "Tartuffe." Besides the theater Kolchakova have roles in the cinema. She has participated in the films "Strahil leader" (1938), "Lyubimetz 13" (1958), "Captured Squadron" (1962), "Tobacco" (1962). She has performed as a pop singer and reciter of poetry. She has written essays and articles, poetry collection "Songs" (1948), plays "Geratzite" (1955on the base of the novel by Elin Pelin), "Inspiration" (1958) and the novel in three parts "Banskalii" (1966-1975). She was awarded with the Dimitrov's Prize in 1950, with the title of "People's artist" in 1971 and with the medal "Georgi Dimitrov" in 1974. She died on August 27, 1882 in Bansko, Bulgaria.
